Verizon Wireless Customers Can Send Photos to Microsoft Outlook or Palm Contact Lists with iPhonebook

With iPhonebook and Verizon Wireless picture messaging on the LG VX6000, Customers Can Send Photos to Virtually Anyone

BEDMINSTER, NJ and SAN JOSE, CA — A picture can say a thousand words, and with today’s availability of iPhonebook on Verizon Wireless’ Get It NowSM service for the LG VX6000, customers can now use their wireless phones to email pictures to virtually anyone. Combined with picture messaging from Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation’s largest and most reliable wireless network, and the advanced features of the LG VX6000,

iPhonebook allows Verizon Wireless customers to share life’s moments immediately with access to email addresses directly on their phones. iPhonebook is a mobile data application which wirelessly links address content from Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Palm Desktop PIM (Personal Information Manager) to Get It Now-enabled phones.

Another option to manual text entry, iPhonebook enables customers to download contact phone numbers and email addresses directly to the phone’s built-in phonebook. When a Verizon Wireless customer takes a picture, they simply bring up email addresses stored in the phonebook and can send it to as many recipients as desired.

“Our Get It Now service, including our picture messaging service, gives our customers innovative, fun and useful applications they can access directly from their wireless phones,” said Jim Straight, vice president of wireless Internet and multimedia services for Verizon Wireless. “The iPhonebook service on the LG VX6000 brings an exciting new dimension to picture messaging by helping our customers use their contact lists to more easily send pictures.”

iPhonebook offers one-device convenience for all personal address book phone numbers. The wireless phone display can also be used to browse other personal address book content such as addresses, email addresses and the Notes field, eliminating the need to carry electronic organizers, laptops or bulky address books. Additionally, the Download Contacts feature enables users to populate the phone’s built-in phonebook automatically with contacts from the desktop PIM.
