Remoba Addresses the Enterprise Market with RemoBiz, a Mobile Application Using Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync Protocol on BREW Phones
Enterprise Users can now access Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP1 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 (Email, Contacts, Calendar) Directly from their CDMA Devices in Real-Time, without the need for a NOC or Proxy Servers
SANTA CLARA, CA - June 20th, 2007 - Remoba™, a leading provider of mobile productivity applications, announced the launch of RemoBiz™, an enterprise solution that uses the Exchange ActiveSync protocol to allow BREW phones to connect to enterprise Exchange Servers. RemoBiz contains the standard PDA applications, including email, contact, and calendar manager, which are synchronized with an enterprise Exchange Server for mobile phones. With extended and extensive search capability, RemoBiz gives the enterprise employee greater capability and flexibility in managing their Exchange Server account information in real-time.
Enterprises can now complement their investment in smart phones with feature phones, providing their employees with wireless access to emails, contacts and calendar by having all their phones directly connected to Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP2 and 2007 versions. The direct connection to port 443 (HTTPS) eliminates the need for opening corporate firewalls, or any additional IT support. There are no delays in updating emails as RemoBiz uses Exchange ActiveSync's Direct Push technology to deliver emails to the mobile phone in real-time as they occur, rather than transmitting via NOC schedule.
"Large enterprises have the desire to let all employees quickly and easily gain access to important information remotely," said Guru Thalapaneni, president of Remoba. "RemoBiz extends the functionality of everyday mobile devices, giving the enterprise market a practical and affordable solution.
