If
you are changing phones or already have iPhonebook
First
and foremost, when you download iDatebook in your new phone,
you simply need to ignore the new "introduction" page that
instructs you to register your web account. You have already
done this with your old phone.
Same
goes if you have already downloaded and set up iPhonebook.
iDatebook connects to the same web account via your 10 digit
mobile number and 4 digit PIN. You do not need to register
twice. Well, it won't let you, since your mobile number
is already being used for one web account.
All
you need to do is bypass this "INTRO" screen. To do that,
hit the "select" or "ok" button on your phone's keypad, and
then you should see "Login" as one of your choices. Highlight
it and select it. Type in your 10 digit mobile number and
4 digit PIN and then, once you see the day view menu, you're
back in business.
If
you are changing PCs
On
the new PC, log into your web account, and click on the sync/import
tab, as shown below:

Go
to option 1: Download now! Follow the install and setup wizard
as before. It's that simple.

Why
iDatebook doesn't interface with your phone's built in calendar
Unlike
iPhonebook, which can download to and upload from the phone's
built-in phonebook, iDatebook doesn't interface with the phone's
built-in calendar. There are no products on the market today
that support this, for a variety of reasons and limitations.
But the iDatebook calendar does cache data so that you do
not need to make a data call through the BREW network each
time you open the application.
If
you do know that there have been changes from the PC side,
simply log into iDatebook and get in the habit of selecting
the "refresh calendar" button on the bottom toolbar.
Feel free to consult with
the help sections in the sync software, iDatebook and the
iPhonebook/iDatebook web account for more detailed instructions
on all of the features available to you.
