iDatebook™ is launched

New BREW™ Data Service Makes the Mobile Phone a Powerful Business Tool

BREW 2003 Conference, San Diego, California - Xpherix Corporation, the leader in personalized mobile connectivity solutions, today announces the launch of iDatebook, a BREW data service that wirelessly links a subscriber's desktop calendar application to their mobile phone.

iDatebook enables subscribers to access calendar content in existing Microsoft Outlook® or Palm® applications from the mobile phone. iDatebook enables subscribers to view and manage their calendar events while away from their office or home PC.

Synchronization between the desktop and iDatebook keeps information up-to-date so that the user always has the most current set of information available from the mobile phone.

Subscribers can use their mobile phone to add new calendar events-even set re-occurring appointments with event duration times and notes. Any changes are synchronized back to the desktop PIM eliminating the need to make change twice. With add, edit and delete event capabilities via the mobile phone, anyone who relies on a calendar for day-to-day activities, can be more productive.

iDatebook, and its sister product, iPhonebook™-a data service that wirelessly synchronizes contacts, eliminate the need for PDAs and allow subscribers to manage all their contacts and calendar events through one device, the mobile phone.

Today, iPhonebook is available through US wireless service providers including Verizon Wireless (VZ), and ALLTEL (AT) and Germany's O2 (DE:794793) as a monthly subscription, typically $3.99/month (4.99 Euros). Initially, iDatebook will be available as a BREW application with a monthly subscription fee of $2.99/month.
